A Super Wicked Wednesday

Mackidgc goes Wicked!!

By Victoria Stanton August 22, 2017

As many of you saw from my facebook  and twitter feed overload last week I went to see wicked for the first time! It was a great experience and I urge you if you haven't gone  and have children to please add this theater production to your bucket list. Here are the details, I rode into Penn Station and was very nervous about taking the A train to the Gerswin theater. Not a city girl at all I prayed that I took the A train going in the right direction and jumped on with my game face. Pretending to be a subway pro I got off  at 45th street and boom just steps from the theater was the subway entrance. All panic now behind the excitement kicked in and with two hours to kill before the show my fellow MacKid publishers gathered across the street from the theater at the Palms restaurant. Boy was that lunch amazing! I had crab cakes and of course macaroni and cheese which were umm umm good. Fueled and ready to go now it was time for the big show, i sat in the mezzanine area and as i looked around the theater any seat on the floor and mezzanine would be good for viewing. I suggest going to the bathroom before the show because during the fifteen minute intermission there is a mad dash by everyone in the theater to the snack area and bathrooms and the lines were really long. Back to the show, the costumes were great, choreography memorizing an eye catching and the cast extremely charming and just down right hilarious. There were some parts that I think younger children (under 5) would find a little scary because of how loud it gets but otherwise a show for all ages. Here is the schedule below for more show days and time
